Venho por este meio informar-vos que a A.A.A encontrou um cão abandonado, de porte grande e rafeiro. Daqui a uns dias colocaremos no blog uma foto do mesmo. Se alguém estiver interessado em dar um lar a este animal envie-me um email ou comente este post.

I want to inform you that A.A.A found an abandoned dog. He is big and is not pure/  does not have a 100% pedigree. In a few days we will post a picture of him. If someone is interested in giving this dog a home send me an email or write a comment on this post.

Depois de umas férias preenchidas por um gatinho abandonado, que alimentei, e um "Golden Retriever" que levei para passeios todos os dias, estou de volta para começar o ano escolar e realizar algumas campanhas para a A.A.A!
Quem tiver ideias para as campanhas, envie-me um email com sugestões!



After my summer holidays, when I met an abandoned cat, that I fed, and a "Golden Retriever" that I walked every day, I´m back to start school and organize some A.A.A campaigns!

Por exemplo: os gatos de pessoas com obesidade têm tendência a serem também obesos!

Uma doença perigosa! A dangerous disease!

A leishmaniose é uma doença transmitida por um mosquito e não tem cura após contraída. Pode-se viver com ela se diagnosticada cedo mesmo sendo um proceso díficil!
Tal como o cancro, pode ser fatal se diagnosticada muito tarde!
Os sintomas são queda de pêlo, emagrecimento, vómitos, fraqueza geral, apatia, febre irregular, feridas persisdentes que não cicatrizam, dilatação do fígado ou do baço e aumento exagerado das unhas. Embora muito pouco frequentemente, a doença pode passar do animal para o ser humano.
Felizmente, há pouco tempo, criou-se uma vacina contra esta terrível doença! Esta vacina previne o aparecimento da doença Passo a explicar como funciona:  a primeira fase é realizar um teste ao animal, de modo a confirmar a presença/ausência da doença;
a vacina é aplicada em três doses com intervalo de três semanas e deve ser renovada todos os anos. Não é barata, porém muito importante! NÃO HÁ TEMPO A PERDER!!! LEVA O TEU ANIMAL AO VETERINÁRIO!!!


Leishmaniose is a disease transmitted by a mosquito and wich doesn´t have a cure after contracted.
The animal can live with it if diagnosed early, although it´s a difficult process.
It makes the animal´s hair fall, emaciation, vomits, general weakness, apathy, irregular fever, persisting wounds that don't heal, swollen liver and spleen and pronounced increase of the length of the animal's nails. Although not very often, the disease can be transmitted into humans. 
Fortunately, not long ago, a vaccine has been developed against this terrible disease! This vaccine prevents the disease from appearing. 
The way it works is as follows: the first stage is to carry out a test on the animal, in order to confirm the presence / absence of leishmaniose; the vaccine is applied in three steps, with a three-week interval inbetween applications. The vaccine must be re-applied every year. It is not unexpensive, however it is very important!  THERE'S NO TIME TO LOSE! TAKE YOUR ANIMAL TO THE VET!!!  

Os meus cães! My dogs!

Este é o meu outro cão, o Mel. Ele também foi abandonado e muito maltratado pelo dono! Tem um grande trauma e por isso é um bocadinho nervoso e maluco. Mas é muito querido, adora festinhas e está sempre a tentar dar-nos beijinhos e a tentar mordiscar as orelhas do meu irmão! :)

This is my other dog, Mel. He was also abandoned and mistreated by his previous owner! He has a big trauma and, because of that, he´s a little nervous, insecure and crazy. Although he´s very sweet, loves to be petted and is always trying to nibble my brothers ears! :)

Este é um dos meus cães, o Spock. Ele é cruzado de pastor alemão com rottweiller. Ele é muito obediente, querido e mimado! Foi abandonado com uma semana e esteve à beira da morte, mas felizmente sobreviveu!

This is one of my dogs, Spock. He´s a mix of rottweiller with german sheperd. He´s very obedient, sweet and spoiled! Spock was abandoned with one week old and almost died. It was a miracle that he survived!
SO CUTE!!!
